General Motors has halted production at two U.S. factories due to Hurricane Helene’s impact on suppliers. GM’s VP of global purchasing and supply chain, Jeffrey Morrison, acknowledged the disruptions caused by Hurricane Helene and a recent port workers strike. Since the pandemic, GM has enhanced its supply chain tracking to better manage potential issues. The automaker has detailed information on its sub-tier suppliers and actively supports suppliers facing production interruptions.
