Frontier Airlines is adding first-class seats to attract customers looking for more personal space. The Denver-based airline will rip out economy seats to make room for four first-class seats in a two-by-two configuration. They are also revamping their loyalty program to offer seat upgrades and complimentary companion tickets to members. CEO Barry Biffle expects the new initiatives to bring in over $500 million in revenue by 2028. Other airlines like Delta, United, JetBlue, Southwest, and Spirit are also making changes to attract higher-paying customers. Southwest plans to add extra-legroom seats and seat assignments, while Spirit offers a “Big Front Seat” similar to domestic first-class.
