Taiwan stocks close lower by 0.64%, various sectors affected, oil and gold prices rise

Taiwan stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with losses in various sectors leading shares down by 0.64%. Top performers included ALi Corp, Logah Technology Corp, and Tai Roun Products Co Ltd. On the other hand, Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd, Arima Communications Corp, and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd were among the worst performers. Crude oil prices rose, with January delivery up to $69.05 a barrel. Gold futures also saw an increase, trading at $2,727.69 a troy ounce. The USD/TWD exchange rate was up to 32.55, while the US Dollar Index Futures slightly increased to 106.09.
