Brookfield Infrastructure Partners to acquire Colonial Pipeline for $9 billion

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. and its partners are set to acquire Colonial Enterprises, which includes the Colonial Pipeline, for $9 billion. The pipeline spans 5,500 miles from Texas to New York, making it the largest refined products system in the U.S. BIP’s equity investment in the deal is $500 million, funded by capital recycling initiatives. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025, pending customary conditions. Debt financing for the deal is being led by Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc. and Mizuho Bank, Ltd., with Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc. serving as the sole bookrunner.
