Pony AI Q1 revenue rises to $13.98 million, with net loss attributed to vehicle production

Chinese autonomous vehicle maker Pony AI saw a revenue surge in Q1, with sales reaching $13.98 million, up from $12.52 million. Despite a higher net loss of $42.99 million, the company attributes this to mass production of its seventh-generation autonomous vehicles. Shares are up 5% in premarket trading, currently at $16.91 each. Pony AI’s partnership with Uber to put its robotaxis on the ride-hailing firm’s platform has contributed to its growth.
