Soybean prices mixed after USDA reports on stocks and planted acres

Soybean contracts are down slightly following USDA reports showing stocks higher than estimates and fewer planted acres. Deliveries issued against July contracts. Soybean meal futures are weaker, while soy oil is up. A private export sale of soybean meal was reported for 2025/26 to unknown destinations.
USDA Grain Stocks report reveals soybean stocks at 1.007 mbu on June 1, 37 mbu larger than the previous year. Acreage report shows 83.38 million acres planted, below trade estimates. Export Inspections data shows 224,787 MT of soybeans shipped last week, led by Mexico and Japan. Yearly shipments up 10.3% from last year.
Soybean prices are mixed, with July down 1.5 cents, August down 2.75 cents, and November up 1.25 cents. Nearby cash prices are down 4.5 cents. New crop cash prices unchanged. Overall, soybeans are showing quiet midday trade following USDA reports.
