Atlantic Grupa sells Montana Plus sandwich operations to local businessman Marko Gross, in line with the company’s strategy to focus on key product categories. Previous disinvestments include sports and baby food, nutritional supplements, and cosmetics businesses. The deal includes the Montana brand, assets, and employees. Montana Plus produces triangle and extended-shelf-life sandwiches, employing 32 people and available in 1,000 retail outlets in Croatia.
Mr. Gross will continue the sale and distribution of sandwiches post-deal, aiming to strengthen the Montana brand portfolio and expand in the on-the-go category. Atlantic Grupa’s diverse portfolio includes snack brands and beverages, distributing products in multiple countries. In Q1 2025, sales reached €259.9m (+9.8%), but EBITDA, EBIT, and net profit saw decreases compared to the previous year.
For the 2024 financial year, Atlantic Grupa reported sales of €1.08bn (+10.9%), with varying changes in EBITDA, EBIT, and net profit. Savoury spread sales rose by 19.5%, while snacks increased by 2.1%. Despite some declines in financial metrics, the company continues to expand and evolve its product offerings.
