Zilch posts first profit and appoints ex-Aviva CEO to board

British fintech firm Zilch reported its first profitable month, reaching this milestone faster than some competitors like Starling and Monzo. With over £100 million ($130 million) in annual revenue, CEO Phil Belamant credits growth strategy for hitting profitability, contrasting with other fintechs cutting back. Zilch also added former Aviva CEO Mark Wilson to its board and eyes a public listing within 24 months, after securing $125 million in debt financing from Deutsche Bank to triple sales volumes. Klarna, a competitor, is also considering a stock market flotation soon.
