Sector Update: Financial Stocks Mixed Wednesday Afternoon

Financial stocks saw little change on Wednesday afternoon, with the NYSE Financial Index and XLF showing mixed results. The Philadelphia Housing Index dropped 0.3%, while XLRE was slightly lower.

Bitcoin fell 1.6% to $59,897, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose to 3.677%. The Federal Open Market Committee’s statement and predictions are set to be released, with a 61% likelihood of a 50 basis-point cut.

The SEC approved rules for quoting thousands of stocks and ETFs in half-penny increments. First Horizon Advisors agreed to pay a $325,000 fine for failing to comply with regulations. BlackRock, Microsoft, and MGX are forming an AI infrastructure partnership.

GCM Grosvenor shares were down 0.3%, as the company and CION Investments launched a partnership to boost individual investors’ access to private market assets through advisors.
