The European Commission has warned Apple to open its iPhone and iPad operating systems to third parties under the Digital Markets Act, requiring free interoperability with third-party developers. Failure to comply within six months could lead to potential penalties. The agency is also investigating Apple’s App Store rules for developers, with Apple assuring cooperation with the EC.
