In other news, US jobless claims fell by 8,000 last week to 203,000, the lowest level since November 1969. This is a sign of a strong labor market and the longest streak since 1970.

Additionally, China’s industrial output grew 6.7% in November, showing signs of improvement in the world’s second largest economy. Retail sales also rose 8.1%, exceeding expectations.
