Actor Pierce Brosnan is cited for stepping out of bounds at a sensitive thermal area in Yellowstone
From Fortune:
Pierce Brosnan was charged with walking in an off-limits area at Yellowstone National Park in the northern part near the Wyoming-Montana line. He is scheduled for a mandatory court appearance on Jan. 23. Yellowstone officials declined to comment, and those caught face possible jail time, fines, and park bans.
Brosnan, 70, was in the park on a personal visit and not for film work, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Wyoming. Going out-of-bounds in such areas can be dangerous, with visitors possibly getting burned from ignoring warnings not to stray off the trail. In addition to his four James Bond films, Brosnan is known for other starring roles in TV and film.
Mammoth Terraces is a scenic spot of mineral-encrusted hot springs, one of the park’s many thermal features. This isn’t Brosnan’s first brush with danger like his fictitious character. He is known for his role as James Bond and starring roles in “Remington Steele,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” and “The Thomas Crown Affair.” The Associated Press made a request for comment to his Instagram account, as well as his agent and attorney, but had not received a response.
