Baidu’s Ernie Bot has reached over 100 million users, showing impressive growth since its August public release. The chatbot’s success is a valuable first-mover advantage in a competitive market. However, it lags behind the latest version of ChatGPT, which has become the fastest-growing software application globally. Ernie Bot ranks the highest among Chinese chatbots, but its score of 79.02 is more than 10 points lower than ChatGPT.
