Anonymous street artist Banksy installed a red stop sign with three military drones on a London street corner, only to have it stolen less than an hour later. Witnesses captured the theft on camera as the thief used bolt cutters to remove the sign. Banksy’s Instagram followers had predicted the quick disappearance of the piece, with some interpreting it as a call for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. The stolen artwork is just the latest in a series of thought-provoking political statements by Banksy. Some of his work has sold for millions of dollars.
