Hapag-Lloyd to continue diverting ships from Red Sea

From Dow Jones & Company:

German container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has decided to continue diverting its ships from the Red Sea, despite some of its peers planning to increase transits in the area. This decision comes as the U.S. and its allies deploy naval ships to deter further strikes by Houthi rebels from Yemen. A.P. Moller-Maersk and CMA CGM plan to resume and gradually increase shipments through the Red Sea, while Mediterranean Shipping Co. will reroute vessels via the Cape of Good Hope. This comes after shipping companies, oil producers, and cargo owners suspended transit through the Red Sea following attacks by Houthi rebels.
