Japan stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Nikkei 225 rising 0.37%. The best performers included Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding, NTT Data Corp., and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., while Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Nippon Yusen K.K, and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines were the worst performers. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and the Nikkei 225 options implied volatility was down 2.49%. Crude oil and Brent oil prices fell, while gold futures rose. The USD/JPY was stable, while the EUR/JPY fell. The US Dollar Index Futures was also down.
