Investing.com: Twitter violated contract by failing to pay millions in bonuses, US judge rules By Reuters

From Investing.com:

A federal judge ruled that Twitter, now known as X Corp, violated contracts by failing to pay millions of dollars in promised bonuses to its employees. The lawsuit was filed by Mark Schobinger, a former senior director of compensation at Twitter, alleging breach of contract after the company did not pay the promised bonuses. The judge denied Twitter’s motion to dismiss the case, ruling that Schobinger had plausible grounds for a breach of contract claim under California law. Twitter argued that the promise was only oral and not a contract, and that Texas law should govern the case, but the judge ruled against these arguments. X Corp, the new name for Twitter, has been facing several lawsuits from former employees and executives since Elon Musk bought the company and reduced the workforce. The claims in the lawsuits range from discrimination against older employees, women, and workers with disabilities, to failure to give advance notice of mass layoffs, but the company has denied any wrongdoing.
