Japan stocks closed lower on Friday, with the Nikkei 225 down 0.45%. The best performers were Rakuten Inc, CyberAgent Inc, and DIC Corp, while the worst performers were Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd, Pacific Metals Co., Ltd., and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones, while crude oil and gold futures were up and down respectively. USD/JPY and EUR/JPY also fell, with the US Dollar Index Futures down 0.08% at 100.83.
