Moonshine Studio’s AI-Powered Receptionist Avatar

From NVIDIA:

The creative team at Moonshine Studio in Taiwan was having receptionist-related problems, so senior 3D artist Eric Chiang created a lifelike 3D model named NANA to serve as an AI-powered virtual assistant. Chiang used his NVIDIA Studio-badged MSI MEG Trident X2 PC equipped with a GeForce RTX 4090 GPU and the NVIDIA Studio Drivers for these tasks.

Chiang used GPU-accelerated features and Tensor Cores in his GPU to enhance his creative workflow. NVIDIA Studio Drivers and the December Studio Driver added support for various enhancements, and the Reallusion iClone AccuFACE plugin, providing better performance and reliability.

The creative community The Rookies is hosting the Meet Mat 3 – the 3D digital painting contest. It challenges contestants to use Adobe Substance 3D Painter to texture a blank character, MAT, in their own unique style. Contests offers prizes which includes GeForce RTX GPUs, Wacom Cintiq displays and more. Entries close Jan. 5, 2024.

Chiang used various creative applications in his PC to create NANA including Blender, Marvelous Designer, Quixel Mixer, Adobe Substance 3D Painter, AccuRIG, and Unreal Engine, utilizing real-time rendering and AI features like NVIDIA DLSS. NANA was crafted and impeccably dressed for her various duties.

Chiang, who is passionate about the power of AI for creators, believes he is fortunate to witness and participate in this new stage of scientific and technological development. He invites you to visit Moonshine Studio and say hello to NANA, and to follow NVIDIA Studio on various social media platforms for updates and tutorials.
