Elon Musk criticizes media’s reports of robot attack at Tesla’s Texas factory, claiming it’s an attack by Optimus robot. He defends robots by saying they are futuristic and will help create a “quasi-infinite” economy.

Incident of robot attack happened in 2021 injuring a programming engineer. This incident revealed a high injury rate at Giga Texas factory due to lack of safety and improper working conditions.

Tesla sent incomplete factory injury reports to California regulators in 2020. A report to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration revealed that about one in 21 workers faced injuries last year. January this year, an explosion occurred at the factory.

Tesla faced more safety incidents as an employee was crushed in Shanghai by factory equipment. Chinese authorities planned to punish the company for lack of safety measures.

In October, Tesla rejected the German union’s complaints regarding safety weaknesses.
