Google is enhancing its messaging application, Google Messages, by expanding the Magic Compose feature in the United Kingdom and France. Magic Compose is an AI-based feature that generates responses based on user needs, including professional messages, poetic responses, and different moods and styles. This is part of Google’s efforts to enhance its product portfolio with AI technology and boost its Google Services segment, which accounts for the majority of Alphabet’s total revenues.

In addition to Magic Compose, Google Messages also has a new in-app contacts page, a Material 3 carousel, and Photomoji for reactions and stickers. These updates are expected to strengthen Alphabet’s Android offerings and capitalize on the growth prospects present in the generative AI space. Google’s aggressive stance on generative AI, including the introduction of tools like Duet AI and MedLM, is likely to instill investor optimism in the stock.
