From Nasdaq.:

Amazon continues to dominate the global cloud computing space with its Amazon Web Services. The company recently launched its second infrastructure region in Canada, located in Calgary, which serves as the first cloud services provider in Western Canada. The region has three availability zones and will provide low latency and access to a range of cloud services. The move is expected to attract large and small companies in Canada. Additionally, other expansion efforts in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East are also underway. AWS currently has 105 Availability Zones across 33 geographic regions and plans to launch 12 more Availability Zones and four more AWS Regions. The increasing number of regions and availability zones is expected to drive AWS’ customer momentum and financial performance. Amazon’s aggressive expansion efforts are expected to continue aiding its competitive prowess against strong peers like Microsoft and Alphabet’s Google. AWS remains the leading cloud provider, accounting for 32% of the global cloud infrastructure services market. Amazon is considered a top-ranked stock, with another top-ranked stock in the sector being Arista Networks. The company’s shares have gained 83.2% on a year-to-date basis, and the company plans to launch an AWS infrastructure region in Malaysia, with investments projected at around $6 billion by 2037.
