Chinese electric vehicle company BYD has announced plans to build a new energy vehicle production base in southern Hungary, creating thousands of local jobs. This new facility will be BYD’s second plant in Hungary, with an existing plant in the city of Komarom that currently assembles electric buses. The company has over 30 industrial parks and production bases globally, including in the U.S., Brazil, Japan, and India.
