Nasdaq: Gulf Resources Receives Governmental Notification To Temporarily Close Bromine Facilities

From Nasdaq:

Gulf Resources Inc. announced that its bromine and crude salt facilities will be closed from December 25, 2023, to February 20, 2024, due to a notification from the government of Shouguang City. This is in line with the government’s efforts to address winter air pollution and improve the efficiency of brine resources. The closure means an additional 15 days of production in the fourth quarter of 2023 and a loss of 19 days of production in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the previous year’s closure dates. The company attributes slower bromine sales in winter to the Chinese New Year holidays and challenges in processing crude salt due to low temperatures during the coldest months.
