Nasdaq: Netflix (NFLX) and NMEA Collaborate for Fifth Taiwan Workshop
From Nasdaq:
Netflix and the New Media Entertainment Association (NMEA) participated in the Asian New Media Summit for the fifth consecutive year. The event featured a writers’ workshop and a creators’ panel with notable figures from Taiwanese films and series sharing insights. The horror-comedy film Marry My Dead Body, produced by Jin Bai-lun, received critical acclaim in Taiwan and internationally, and is the country’s selection for the Best International Feature category at the Oscars. Netflix also collaborated with the screenwriters of At the Moment to host a writers’ workshop, attended by over 80 aspiring writers and creators. This partnership is expected to aid Netflix’s top-line growth in upcoming quarters. Additionally, Netflix is focused on enhancing the consumer experience by delving into gaming and live broadcasts, optimizing the mobile app, and adding interactive elements. The company is betting big on consumer engagement and content personalization to stay ahead of competitors and is also focusing on developing internal “content intelligence” for shows. It expects that these features will keep viewers engaged and fend off competition from players like Amazon Prime, Warner Bros Discovery, and Disney. Through these initiatives, Netflix aims to transform the browsing experience and retain its subscriber base, ultimately driving its growth in 2023.
