Hollywood actors and screenwriters are also concerned about safeguards against generative AI, warning of catastrophic increases in inequality. Policymakers suggest reforming the tax system to address this issue, ensuring that the top 1% receives all pretax income never rises above current levels, and creating inequality insurance to prevent the resulting inequality increases. The plan is aimed at protecting against potential catastrophic increases in wealth and income disparities.
