Soft Start Predicted For Indonesia Stock Market

The Indonesia stock market has moved higher in three straight sessions, and the Jakarta Composite Index rests just above the 7,300-point plateau. The JCI finished modestly higher on Thursday following gains from the financial shares and resource stocks, gaining 49.80 points or 0.8 percent to finish at 7,303.89. The global forecast suggests little movement ahead of the end of the year, and while the U.S. bourses were mixed and little changed, the Asian markets figure to split the difference. Also, crude oil prices fell sharply Thursday on easing concerns about trade disruptions, closing at $71.77 a barrel.
