Wall Street Journal: OPEC Is Losing Its Mojo on Wall Street

OPEC and its allies have not been successful in raising crude oil prices despite multiple production cuts in the past 15 months. Oil prices surged near $100 a barrel earlier this year, but then dropped, and crude futures tumbled 10% after the coalition announced a 5% reduction in output on Nov. 30. These production cuts have not had the desired effect on crude prices, leading OPEC+ to struggle in their efforts to control the market.
