Alaska Airlines resumes flying Boeing 737 MAX 9 after inspections By Reuters

Alaska Airlines completes inspections on Boeing 737 MAX 9 fleet following cabin blowout, allowing the carrier to resume some MAX 9 operations, starting with Flight 1146 from Seattle to San Diego. The inspections began on Wednesday after the FAA approved criteria, and are expected to be completed by the end of next week. Boeing now evaluating “hundreds” of ideas for quality improvements.

Copa Airlines jet returns to service, becoming the first MAX 9 to do so after the grounding of 171 planes following the January 6 incident. Alaska and United Airlines, the two U.S. carriers that fly the MAX 9, have canceled thousands of flights due to the grounding. Boeing Commercial Airlines President reaffirms commitment to quality improvements and regaining customer confidence.
