Ambarella, Inc. has announced the latest additions to its CV3-AD family of automotive AI domain controllers. The CV3-AD635 and CV3-AD655 support sensing suites including multiple cameras and radars, enabling L2+ and L2++ feature sets, and meeting GSR2 and NCAP standards. These new systems-on-chip feature Ambarella’s CVflow® 3.0 AI accelerator, providing high AI performance and industry-leading power efficiency. The CV3-AD655 allows advanced L2++ with urban autopilot, and the CV3-AD635 supports mainstream L2+ feature sets. Both SoCs are fabricated in Samsung’s advanced 5nm automotive process technology. Continental and Ambarella have also partnered to offer optimized full-stack software and hardware solutions for automated vehicles. Engineering samples for the CV3-AD635 and CV3-AD655 are expected to be available in Q1 2024.
