American Express Company (AXP) projects EPS in a range of $12.65 – $13.15, with revenue growth anticipated to be 9% – 11% for 2024. Long-term expectations include mid-teens EPS growth and revenue growth exceeding 10%. Fourth quarter net income increased by 23% to $1.93 billion, with earnings per share up 27%. Total revenues net of interest expense increased by 11% to $15.80 billion.

CEO Stephen Squeri reported the addition of 12.2 million new proprietary cards, bringing the total number to over 140 million. American Express shares rose by 3% in pre-market trade on Friday.

The company’s success in adding new cards and achieving strong financial performance has contributed to a positive stock performance, with shares of American Express up 3% in pre-market trade.
