Cathie Wood is buying the dip in Tesla Inc., acquiring nearly 690,000 shares in January. The two ARK Investment Management-operated ETFs spent about $141 million on shares. Tesla shares are down 25% in January, while Wood’s flagship fund is down nearly 10% after gaining 68% in 2023. She is a long-time fan of Elon Musk’s EV company and her firm projects Tesla will hit $2,000 in 2027. This is seen as a buying opportunity after Tesla shares more than doubled in 2023.
