Beam wallet users can now make Amazon and Shopify purchases using stablecoins

From Fortune:

Eco Inc. has acquired the shopping app Join, making Beam’s self custodial wallet available at retailers through stablecoins. Eco raised $95 million via a16z and Beam counts approximately 80,000 users. No sale amount was disclosed. Integrating Join’s seamless spending vision, the acquisition blew Andy Bromberg away, said the Beam CEO.

Customers can now paste an item’s link and specifications, then order it from retailers like Amazon or Shopify. Beam abstracts multiple stablecoins across networks and goes to Dean’s Join app, greatly simplifying the user experiences. The app includes technology to abstract various stablecoins across various networks.

Bromberg envisions weaving a decentralized faith’s user-friendly application in Beam. He thinks technology with Ethereum ecosystem progress allows ordinary users to experience the advantages of non-custodial wallets.

Inspired by his experiences growing up without a consistent address, Join co-founder Tom Dean aspired to change traditional payment systems. He proposes founders about payment systems outside of traditional finance. Currently, the app is compatible with Amazon and Shopify.
