A missing Chinese exchange student in Utah was found in Brigham City, 25 miles away from his home, after being reported missing. Authorities believe the student was a victim of a “cyber kidnapping” scheme to extort $80,000 from his family. The family received a ransom note and paid before he was found. The student had isolated himself, convinced his family was threatened.
