Christie to exit 2024 GOP race, which could help Haley vs. Trump in New Hampshire

From Dow Jones & Company:

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie dropped out of the 2024 Republican presidential nominee race, stating there was no path for him to win. His exit could benefit GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, particularly in the New Hampshire primary. According to RealClearPolitics, in New Hampshire, Haley has 29% support, and adding Christie’s 12% to her level would get her close to Trump’s 43%. Christie’s exit seemed to indicate he wasn’t optimistic about Haley’s prospects, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also appeared to agree with Christie’s assessment on social media. DeSantis and Haley are slated to debate in Iowa on Wednesday.
