Comcast (CMCSA) earnings Q4 2023

Comcast exceeded revenue and profit estimates in Q4, with a net income rise to $3.26 billion and raised its dividend 7%. The company also approved a new share repurchase program for $15 billion. Despite a loss of 34,000 broadband subscribers, domestic broadband revenue rose 3.7% to $6.4 billion, with average revenue per user increasing 3.9%.
Comcast added 310,000 wireless subscribers and lost 389,000 video subscribers, following a narrower loss than the estimated nearly 458,000. Theme parks adjusted EBITDA rose 11.6% to $872 million, breaking a quarterly record for Comcast. Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, added 3 million subscribers as revenue increased 57% to $1.03 billion, marking the first time Peacock has topped $1 billion in a quarter.
