ComEd Restores Power To 99% Of Customers Impacted By Winter Snow Storm

ComEd, a unit of Exelon Corp., has restored power to 99 percent of the 153,500 customers impacted by the recent Winter Snow Storm, with only 900 customers still without power. The snowstorm dropped 6-8 inches of heavy snow and recorded wind gusts of 55 MPH in northern Illinois, hitting areas like Chicago the hardest. ComEd and contractor utility workers are working around the clock to restore service to all remaining customers, with expectations that power will be restored by Saturday evening, January 13.
