Consumer Sector Update for 01/11/2024: TSLA, ASPN, WWW

Consumer stocks were down Thursday afternoon, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) dropping by 0.3% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) by 0.5%. In corporate news, Tesla is raising pay for production workers at its US factories, causing shares to fall about 3%.
Aspen Aerogels shares dropped 4.4% after issuing preliminary Q4 and 2023 revenue and sales guidance for 2024. On the other hand, Wolverine Worldwide rose 0.4% after selling its Sperry shoe brand to Authentic Brands and the Aldo Group for $130 million.
