Dating app The League is charging up to $30,000 per year to find your perfect match
From Fortune:
Singles are gearing up for “Dating Sunday,” the busiest day for dating apps, with The League hoping to draw new users with high standards and a price tag of up to $30,000. As part of Match Group’s portfolio, the app, known for its “elite” user base, is focused on connecting “overly ambitious” individuals. The League’s CEO, Amanda Bradford, emphasizes its focus on ambition and motivated individuals. She compares The League to traditional dating apps and defines it as an anti-Tinder, offering a high price tag. According to Bradford, the app’s founding mission was to prioritize members’ career and educational background. Going forward, the platform plans to introduce a “compass heat map” feature and “innovative” tools to direct users to areas where their dating preferences are frequent. With society increasingly turning to technology for matchmaking, The League believes the future of dating leads to strategic and tech-enabled connections.
