Delta Air Lines reported fourth quarter earnings of $1.1 billion, reaching a record of 9 million customers during the holiday season. The company carried 60,000 mainline flights with fewer than 40 cancellations and reported 11% higher revenue than 2022. The airline will be rewarding its employees with $1.4 billion in profit-sharing on Valentine’s Day, and plans to grow capacity by 3% to 5% in 2024. They also announced an order for 20 Airbus 350-1000 aircraft, with options for 20 more, for delivery starting in 2026, and plan to complete the generational rebuild of LaGuardia this year.
