A TikToker, corporate commentator, and podcast host said she didn’t care when a Gen Z worker turned down an 8 a.m. meeting to work out. Her comment was widely criticized, and she made an apology video although confusion remains.

The younger generation prefer work-life balance over working late hours for free. Yet, what’s important to them is also important to their employers. Even as young people are leaving jobs that don’t fit their career values, they still show enthusiasm for a flexible work schedule.
