Elon Musk announced a more modest sales growth for Tesla vehicles this year than last year’s 38%, causing shares to tank. He promised an entry-level $25,000 Tesla model by the end of 2025, but analysts are skeptical of this achievement and believe production could be challenging.
Tesla’s revenue growth has stagnated despite a significant increase in vehicle deliveries, largely due to a price war that has significantly affected the company’s income statement.
The AI supercomputer that was cited as being worth half a trillion dollars may just be a long shot. Tesla’s outlook for the future does not include a mention of 50% annual vehicle sales growth for the first time in 12 consecutive quarters.
Tesla’s hope of the $25,000 entry car has received skeptical reviews, mainly due to the lack of a prototype despite the supposed impending start of series production next year. Additionally, it has been rumored that this car may not come with a steering wheel or pedals, which means that full autonomy will be a necessity.
Elon Musk has confirmed that Tesla has been in early discussions with automakers to license the Full Self-Driving technology, but these talks have gone nowhere, according to Musk. This raises further questions about Tesla’s future.
