Elon Musk’s X, formerly Twitter, announced plans to build a “Trust and Safety center of excellence” in Austin, TX with 100 full-time content moderators to tackle child sexual exploitation and other harmful content. Musk has faced criticism for scaling back trust and safety operations. The move precedes a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on child safety online. CEO Linda Yaccarino has been in Washington touting the company’s efforts.
