Europe’s most anticipated hotel openings in 2024

1. In 2023, Europe experienced numerous luxury hotel openings. The £1.4 billion transformation of the Old War Office into the Raffles London at the OWO and Richard Branson’s Son Bunyola on the Spanish island of Mallorca were highlights. This year, London will see the debut of The Emory and Mandarin Oriental Group’s second London property.
2. The most anticipated European hotel openings of 2024 include two London establishments—The Emory and Mandarin Oriental in Hanover Square—as well as Rosewood hotels in Munich, and the overhaul of an historic Greek courthouse into a luxury hotel on Folegandros.
3. The Emory, opening in Knightsbridge in April, starts at £2,000 per night. Meanwhile, the One&Only Kea Island in Greece will open in May and features private pools in all 160-acre beachfront villas. The property is poised to become one of the chicest hotels in Greece.
4. Viceroy at Ombria Algarve in Portugal, slated to open in June, will offer 76 luxury rooms with rates starting at €425. In spring, Rome will be home to the Corinthia Rome, with rooms starting at €1,100 a night. Later this year, Collegio alla Querce, Hotel du Couvent in Florence, and Rosewood Amsterdam will open.
5. Collegio alla Querce in Florence will offer a dedicated tasting area for wine enthusiasts. Hotel du Couvent in Nice will provide a low-key, high luxury experience set in a former 17th-century convent. In Amsterdam, Rosewood’s urban haven will overlook Prinsengracht and the Rijksmuseum square.
