FAA requiring inspections before some Boeing 737 MAX 9 flights can resume By Reuters

The FAA will order the temporary grounding of certain Boeing 737 MAX 9 airplanes after an Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency landing following the loss of part of the fuselage. This affects 171 airplanes worldwide. Inspections will require four to eight hours per aircraft. Alaska Airlines voluntarily grounded its fleet of 65 MAX 9 airplanes. United Airlines also operates the MAX 9 and did not comment. The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA supports the FAA’s action and Senator Vance says every American deserves a full explanation from Boeing and the FAA.
