Former NBA All-Star Danny Ainge sees demand for international players

The Utah Jazz is expanding its international scouting efforts, with scouts in nearly every basketball country worldwide, according to CEO Danny Ainge. The NBA currently boasts a record 125 international players, with each of the 30 teams featuring at least one international player this season, reflecting the league’s global reach.

International ticket sales for NBA games saw a significant 120% increase from last season, with fans traveling from 92 countries to North American games. Ainge, who joined the Utah Jazz in December 2021, has overseen a remarkable increase in the team’s valuation to $3.09 billion, a 52.59% increase from last year and a 76.57% increase since he joined the franchise.
