Georgia Governor Brian Kemp says EV market ‘resetting a bit’ after Biden ‘tried to push the market too quick’

Governor Kemp highlighted Georgia Energy’s need for clean electricity to meet increased EV production. He touted Georgia Power’s new nuclear reactors at Plant Vogtle. Governor Kemp also cited the airport and seaport as assets. Panel members emphasized the need for clean energy in EV production and in production of the batteries used in EV’s. Kemp plans to rely upon utility Georgia Power Co to meet clean energy needs. He remains bullish on Georgia’s future in EV production. He believes the market is undergoing a reset and looks forward to strong growth in the market. Governor Kemp cited the biggest challenge as making sure manufacturers can hire the requisite number of employees.
