GM’s 2023 U.S. vehicle sales were its best since 2019

General Motors’ U.S. vehicle sales surged 14.1% in 2023, reaching 2.6 million units, the best since 2019. Q4 sales remained steady at 625,176 vehicles. The automaker sold 2.3 million in 2022 and 2.9 million in 2019. Industrywide, sales are expected to rise 14% to 15.5 million in 2023. GM projects total U.S. industry sales to reach 16 million in 2024. GM’s strong performance was led by Buick with a 61% increase and Chevrolet with a 13.1% rise.
