GoldMining Inc. Announces 2023 Whistler Success; Idaho Resources CEO At DOE Workshop; Freeport-McMoRan’s Q4, Full-Year Results

1. GoldMining Inc. has reported successful results from its 2023 drilling program at Alaska’s Whistler Gold-Copper Project. One highlight is the discovery of a high-grade gold and copper core near the surface, confirmed by the notable result revealing 547 meters at 1.06 grams per ton gold equivalent. The company plans more drilling in 2024.

2. Idaho Strategic Resources Inc. CEO and President John Swallow was invited to the Future Innovation Needs for Responsible Mining of Critical Minerals workshop by the U.S. Department of Energy. The workshop aims to discuss strategies for resource exploration, discovery, appraisal, mining, and processing. This initiative will help address the U.S.’s rare earth elements demand.

3. Freeport-McMoRan Inc. reported fourth quarter and full-year results for 2023, exceeding its October 2023 estimates in copper sales volumes and recording a net income of $388 million in Q4 2023. Production for the year included 4.2 billion pounds of copper, 2.0 million ounces of gold, and 82 million pounds of molybdenum, with sales figures closely matching these production numbers.
