Google To Replace Third-Party Cookies With Privacy Sandbox Technologies

Google plans to replace third party cookies with alternative Privacy Sandbox technology for nearly 30 million Chrome users, allowing advertising without invading privacy. A new feature, Tracking Protection, will shut off site access to third party cookies for all users by 2024, and will be enabled for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS users with a “Browsing with more privacy” option. This has raised concerns from advertisers and industry players as Google aims to dominate the online advertising market.
